Went to the Spring Fair yesterday (Wednesday), and it was great! So many people, so much ‘stuff’! However, it seems that some vendors there are more willing to be helpful than others.
One stand featured a gaggle of Chinese folk, speaking broken English, thrusting bags of freebies at anyone who came near. If you enquired about any of their products on show, you got their life history – which is far better than a stony silence.
Another stand held a rather professional looking man, who initially seemed polite if a little condescending. Upon asking if he had a catalogue or website, he indicated that he did. End of conversation. No catalogue offered, no site name revealed. How not to sell anything lesson 1…
