Have you ever needed someone so bad?

And of course other Def Leppard songs. It’s been a miserable rainy Bank Holiday Monday, and I’ve had a mood to match. I just got the feeling that I was alone in the world – not just with no-one being around, but literally -alone-. I once heard a man tell a story of how he died and came back to life (born again Christian, no less!) and that during his time of ‘deadness’, he was allowed to visit Hell. Hell, he said, was full of people, but completely empty. You could hear voices around you, but could see no-one, and could not communicate with anyone else. Hell is apparently defined Biblically as ‘separation from God’, and this is the ultimate separation – from abso-blooming-lutley everything.

Now, I know I haven’t been to Hell today – the mother-in-law’s, maybe, but not Hell – but I have had a pervading sense of dread, and of having no-one to communicate with. It seems my cries of anguish fall on deaf or ignorant ears!

Know this – in all your life, do whatever you do with a passion – you may not be here tomorrow to do it again. If you love somebody, tell them – one day it will be too late. You will always regret the things you didn’t do more than those you did – trust me.

To those I know, even those who have deaf ears, I love you. Please do not feel alone as I do.

My dog was arrested…

The family dog, a labradoodle, went out in the garden last night. She’s always gone in the garden, no problems – 6 foot fence, no escape. Except, last night she did escape…

We were out ’til 3am looking for her, and couldn’t find her. We reluctantly went to bed, fearing the worst.

As it turns out, she had been arrested for trying to steal food from the local Pizza Hut! She spent the night in the slammer, and was quite sad looking when I collected her this morning. She soon perked up and was scampering around the house like the mad dog she is…

Looks like next time we order pizza, she’ll have to get her own!
