Big update – the feet, hosting, permalinks!

My Left FootBon soir, mes petit pois. Today is the day after my feet became free once again, and boy is it different! I had the plaster cast removed yesterday afternoon, and so far, so good. My left foot and calf muscle ache like never before, and my left foot was covered in masses of dead skin (most of which has now come off after a good scrub and application of moisturizer – not that I keep that sort of stuff in, and even if I did…not that there’s anything wrong with that…). The hospital said that the breaks were just about healed, but that the gap between the 4th and 5th metatarsals was bigger than previously – I will be returning in several weeks for yet another x-ray to see if I am now permanently deformed!

As for the site hosting, I am now with a new company based in Nottingham. Better than the last lot – I can actually set up the .htaccess file to give proper permalinks with meaningful words in them. Sweet!

And while I’m here, Boro should have beat Chelsea – we hit the woodwork three times, for goodness sake! As long as we finish the season above Keane and Keegan, I’ll be happy.

Newcastle 1-1 Boro

Middlesbrough BadgeSo another good showing from the Boro – proving once again that the new ‘Messiah’ Keegan ain’t what he’s cracked up to be!

It seems that everyone expects a team to change its fortunes as soon as a new manager is appointed, but I would say that a lot of the result is down to the players. After all, the players are on the pitch (supposedly) scoring goals, while the manager is sat on the sidelines and has as much chance of scoring as the fans. Still…

Boro are now knocking on the door of the top half of the Premiership – let’s hope they get there!
